Thai, Singapore companies to cooperate in 600-megawatt project

Nay Pyi Taw, 11 Oct-Minister for Electric Power No. 1 Col Zaw Min received President Mr Premchai Karnasuta of Italian-Thai Development Public Co Ltd of Thailand and Director Mr Chua Chay Jin and party of Windfall Energy Services Limited from British Virgin Island of Singapore at the ministry, here, on 9 October.
Next, the signing ceremony of Taninthayi Hydropower Project of Hydropower Implementation Department under the Ministry of Electric Power No. 1 and Italian-Thai Development Public Co Ltd of Thailand and Wind Fall Energy Services Limited from British Virgin Island of Singapore was held.
Present on the occasion were Minister for Electric Power No. 1 Col Zaw Min, Minister for Electric Power No. 2 Maj-Gen Khin Maung Myint, Minister for Finance and Revenue Maj-Gen Hla Tun, Attorney-General U Aye Maung, Deputy Ministers, Directors-General, the Managing Director and officials, responsible persons of Italian-Thai Development Public Co Ltd of Thailand and Windfall Energy Services Limited from British Virgin Island of Singapore.
First, Minister Col Zaw Min extended greetings. Afterwards, President Mr Premchai Karnasuta of Italian-Thai Development Public Co Ltd explained matters related to the hydropower project.
After that, the Director-General of Hydropower Implementation Department and President Mr Premchai Karnasuta signed the MoU.
The Taninthayi Hydropower Project will generate 600 megawatts.
